Some of my ‘vending at craft shows’ energy has been put into creating DIY kits for easy gifting and crafting. In all my years of designing workshops, I had yet to design a kit! I have released three new kits since April and I’m so excited for all of them. Check them out and tell me what you think!
#1 Aloha Felt Flower Clips

First to launch were my Aloha Felt Flower Clips. These were very much inspired by my hula days. I loved all of the floral and leafy head pieces I got to wear during performances. These are a great everyday alternative to my felt flower crowns, and it makes for a simple, quick, fun, and beautiful DIY.

I had blue bags in my packaging stash so I designed the kit to fit the bags. I developed step by step instructions, and figured out how to create a compact felt stack both to fit the bag and to allow for lots of color options for the clips. Packaging everything up is definitely my favorite part of the process. The kits come with enough material to create three clips.

#2 Felt Succulent Gardens with Optional Video Instruction

Kit 2 was created after my most popular craft workshop – felt succulent gardens! One of my scheduled workshops went virtual so I had to put kits and an accompanying instructional video together for the class. I upgraded the instructions to be stand-alone instructions and edited the video for a general audience. It worked out really well and boom – my second kit was born! I’m super thrilled to have this in my kit repertoire.

Some scenes from that virtual class, as well as packaging all of the goodies. Each kit has a variety of succulent colored felt. The garden boxes I use for the kits have glass so I package each in bubble wrap for safe shipping. I don’t have a designated craft room so when I’m restocking this kit, it takes over the floors and all the tables.

#3 Pennant Party DIY Kit

Just launched yesterday are my Pennant Party kits! I create lots of pennants all year long and people are always excited when they can have custom pennants made. Now, anyone can be a pennant maker! The best part of this kit (for me) are the letter and number templates my crafty friend Laura created using my felt letters!

Kits include felt for creating shapes, letters, and numbers; as well as sparkly decorations and materials to make tassels. I’m excited to also include Loome tassel tools (by my friend Vilasinee) in this kit! Kits come in three pennant colorways.

While I miss craft shows, I’m loving being able to develop these kits! Have you tried out any fun DIY kits lately? Share what you’ve been working on below.
