spooky garden.

I’ve swooned over them before, and I’ll swoon over them again – The Nurtured Seedling crew are masters at turning a garden into something so magical for the littles and their grown ups. Remember Earth Day? Ya, pretty epic. And for their Littlest Gardeners Fall Class, owners Flavia and Darina turn up with Halloween themed everything – decor, garden creations, and snacks! Here’s a look back at last year’s event.

It’s a little spooky and mostly cute to see the littles create with garden magic this time of year. When you step into the garden you’re transported to a place of calm and creativity. We had a garden tour, learned how food grows, and dug in the dirt.

For their first garden project the kids learned how to pot and take care of a terrarium. Flavia and Darina sourced the coolest Halloween figurines for this garden project – some glowed in the dark!

For the second garden project, the kids created skull masks to celebrate Dia de Los Muertos. Flavia shared on how marigolds and monarch butterflies are symbols for the holiday. The kids got to pick marigolds from the garden to complete their masks.

And no Littlest Gardeners class would be complete without a garden storytime and themed snacks (the cutest snacks!). Plus a lesson in nocturnal pollinators and a bat squishy scavenger hunt!

Happy Halloween Month! Are you Team Spooky or Team Spoopy? Either way, check out the Nurtured Seedling’s upcoming events page for a chance to snag a coveted garden workshop seat.
