Just in time for bow season! All you need for this wire bow craft is wire and beads, plus pliers and optional wire cutters.

You want to use a wire that is sturdy enough to hold shape with the type of beads you’re using, but is also malleable enough to create the curves of the bow. E.g., chenille stems work well with lightweight pony beads. The wire will need to pass through the center bead three times from different angles so using a larger center bead may help.

I raided my stash and found some paper-wrapped floral wire stems and large (8-9mm) wooden beads.

Start with one bow loop: Add 7 beads and your center bead. The center bead should sit on the mid point of your wire. Curve the beaded wire to form a bow loop and pass the end through the center bead. Add 7 beads to the “empty” end, curve the wire, and pass through the center bead. You should have your bow shape at this point. Add 4 beads to each end. Use pliers to bend the ends of the wire and keep the beads from falling off.

Then, make 200 more! 🤪

These are too fun to make, and would be great as gift toppers or ornaments, or strung up to make a garland. 🥰 Now that’s a bow-nafide craft!
