halloween char-cute-rie

I love a good snack board theme, and Halloween is the perfect time to create one! I like finding both savory and sweet items, and selecting snacks with different textures and shapes. Having mini cookie cutters is helpful but you can also use a knife to cut out shapes. Here’s some inspo for a tiny toddler friendly Halloween snack board! (I would fill in the board much more for a grown up version!)

For this board I was going for an orange-purple theme. I found assorted Japanese cracker treats in brown/orange hues, pumpkin- and bat-shaped pretzels (by Utz – my fave pretzels!), pumpkin-shaped cookies from Rustic Bakery, and orange yogurt-covered pretzels. I also peeled and topped mandarin oranges with bits of pretzel to look like pumpkins and added blackberries. Next time I’ll hunt for more purple goodies.

I used a crinkle cutter to slice bananas, a tulip mini cookie cutter to create ghost shapes out of Asian pear, a star mini cookie cutter to cut out cheese and apple middles, and a mini ice cream scoop to serve out a ball of (softened) cream cheese.

The board was a hit for a post-nap snack and trick-or-treat pregame! My kid ate the whole board. I should have also made myself a board!

More ideas because look what I’ve more recently found! Tostitos has pumpkin-shaped chips and Utz does a ghost cheese puff (though these are definitely more puff than ghost-shaped).

What other fun treats (or tricks!) would you add to your Halloween char-cute-rie?
