winter pop-up.

Oh hi, it me and my God-sis. This year, I’m participating in the Makers WorkSpace Winter Pop-Up Shop – three weekends of handmade crafty fun! The pop-up is set up like a gift store and boasts over 60 artists! For the 2nd annual pop-up market, they invited a few makers to host interactive Meet the Maker experiences for each pop-up day. I got to set up a lil DIY station for opening night! Behold, mini felt succulent gardens, complete with tiny Christmas tree and reindeer decorations. I met some fun, crafty peeps, including someone who just moved to the area from none other than my hometown. Small world! I’m so thankful I get to share my love for craft with the community. Here’s a peek into the shop’s offerings… So good, right? A big thank you to Kyla of Impressed by Nature and Jenice of California Native Jewelry for organizing the event! There are still six more days of pop-up left ~ go get your handmade, local, and crafty on. A few featured makers: Feed …

august in alameda.

My crafty biz is featured for the entire month of August at Modern Mouse in Alameda. I have a pennant for my feelings: YAAAS. It’s always fun visiting owners Matt and Mynt at the Mouse and I’m excited for this month-long collaboration. Here’s a before, during, and after of my display. It took me just over an hour to get it all together. I did my very best to style the area like a store instead of a craft booth, to make the wall of stuff both interesting and easy to look at. My stuff is an explosion of color so I limited some of the items I have on display in attempts to not crowd the space. Here’s a close up tour plus some insider shopping tips for your visit! Wall hangings are hanging on a cool extendable rack that Modern Mouse let me borrow. Plus, you can view all the phrases and color variations in the baskets on the bottom shelf. There are 14 designs to choose from. Some come with a pom …

mischief maker.

If you haven’t heard the news, I’m a mischief maker. I’m the featured maker at mischief! Semantics… My Feed the Fish co line gets a special area of the store and I get to hang out and craft all day when I’m in-shop. I love my lil set-up! It changes a little when I’m in the shop so I can sit near my stuff. I am most especially proud of my banner bar, which has been a longtime dream of mine. I finally found the right display for it, and this pop-up was the perfect place for it’s debut! I’m about halfway through my ‘residency’ now and already so much has happened. I’ve learned more about shop-life, brainstormed crafty projects with shop owner Laura, and completed a lot of custom projects in store. What’s extra fun is that I get to interact with the customers and show them how I make what I make. I’m also teaching a few workshops throughout the month. A huge, huge thank you to owners Laura and Julien (the OG …
